Proud

I've got to brag on Wade a little bit.

Last night we learned that his end-of-the-season baseball party was being moved to Sunday afternoon.  We've been waiting almost 2 months for details on the party.  I could tell Wade was annoyed, but he was also okay with not going to it, since it was on the Sabbath day.

Later we jumped in the pool and I came up to him and said, "Ya know, Wade, I'm a big believer in being blessed for keeping the commandments.  I know you'll be blessed eventually for not attending that party, maybe tomorrow, maybe in 10 years, but you'll be blessed."

Wade smiled and said, "Yeah, I know, Mom.  That's why I did it."

We're far from perfect, but we do have good kids who often teach us with their good choices!

Scripture reading

Wade has been really good about reading the Book of Mormon lately.  He said he's about a third of the way into Alma and "hopes to finish the Book of Mormon" by the end of August.

I asked him how he felt while he was reading this special book, and he said, "I feel really, really good inside.  This morning when I woke up, a little voice said, 'Wade, read your scriptures!'  So I did!"

I LOVE seeing our kids make good choices.  Way to go, Wade!
